Well, the three Carvers finally made it home on New Year's Day. We had a great time on our Christmas vacation, and I will post more details from our trip later this week. On Saturday, we decided to go to Anna Maria Island just south of Tampa for the day. We had a really good time. The wind was breezy, and the water was cool (around 67 degrees), but Alex insisted on getting in the water.
We had a picnic lunch on the beach and then drove into Tampa for a while. I am happy to report that we did see a few dolphins while crossing the bay. In Tampa, we found a really neat shopping area and a park for Alex. It made the drive home much easier.

Anna Maria Island is one of my three favorite places on earth (not counting the couch in my TV room) - AMI, London, and New York City.
