Christmas with Dawson

After we spent a few days in Indiana, we drove to my parent's house in Illinois. Here is a picture of my Dad holding Alex and his new cousin Dawson. My mom and brother John are standing in the back with me. John is Dawson's Dad.

Dawson's mom is my sister-in-law Shannon. Shannon's maiden name was Carver, but she was not related to Charlie's family. I tell her that now the universe is even, a Davis became a Carver and a Carver became a Davis.

Alex loves visiting his grandparents, and my Dad loves babies. It is a great match. You are looking at my Dad's stand. It is his little corner in the house. He usually has a stash of crackers or cookies hiding there for Alex.

Christmas day in front of my mom's new Christmas tree. I told her that I want her to put my name on a sticky note on the box. It is a running joke in our family. My brothers have already started picking out what they want when Mom and Dad are done with it - morbid, huh?

We had a great visit. The only thing missing was snow.
